OBTAIN A SICK NOTE
If you are absent from work for 7 calendar days or less you do not need a doctor’s certificate. Self certification forms are available at reception to cover this period for self employed people or if your employer requires this. If you are sick for more than 7 days you should see your doctor, who may then issue a certificate of your illness.  For periods in hospital, the team looking after you should provide an appropriate certificate. We charge a fee for private sickness certificates.
