FAMILY PLANNING AND CONTRACEPTION SERVICES

Advice is available from all the doctors and Practice Nurses during normal surgery hours.

Teenagers can also get advice attend the Teenage Advice Clinic without making an appointment on Monday afternoons (4-6pm).

Requests for the Emergency Contraception can be made at any time at either the surgery, Ottery Hospital or at a local pharmacy. As emergency contraception is most effective within the first 72 hours after intercourse, you may have to ask for an urgent appointment with the nurse or doctor.

Dr Stuart and Dr Gurney can fit contraceptive coils while Dr Stuart and Dr Cole can also can fit Nexplanon implants. For specialised procedures such as coil, implanon or cap fitting you will be asked to come at a specific time to allow for a longer appointment.
