If you telephone later in the day, not only are our phone lines are less busy but also your doctor will have had more time to review your results.
If you are asked to do a laboratory sample these should be dropped off at the surgery’s reception by 12 noon. The courier collects all the samples by 1230 daily.
We ask that all samples be provided in a clean, sealed container and labelled with your name, date of birth and GP’s name. Please put your sample in a plastic bag.
We ask patients to always contact the surgery to check their own test results.
Your GP will leave a simple message to be passed on to you. Usually this will either be “test results satisfactory, no further action” or “tell patient to speak to doctor” indicating there needs to be further discussion. If your doctor asks you to talk to him please do not worry, it does not necessarily mean there is any bad news.
